EAA Chapter 297 Scholarship Program

Post Air Camp Presentation

For many, a Young Eagle flight only serves to whet the aviation bug and these kids want to learn more about flying and airplanes. To keep the flame burning EAA Chapter 297 sends one or two deserving 14 or 15 year old youngsters to the Air Academy Camp at Oshkosh each year.

Candidates do not have to be a Young Eagle but must have shown a keen interest in aviation, have good school performance and be a fine member of society as witnessed by endorsement letters from their teachers and/or clergy. Each candidate must fill out a comprehensive application and be interviewd by the selection committee.

The Chapter pays all transportation and tuition expense. In return, the successful candidates are expected to present a short program describing the experience at a Chapter meeting after attending the Camp .

Young people who are interested in applying for this opportunity should contact the Scholarship Comittee Coordinator here.
